Windows is automatically installing drivers for my fax modem in Windows 8 / 8.1. Do I need to do anything?

By default, the drivers for the USB modem are included in Windows 8 and 8.1. When you plug the adapter into your Windows system, wait a few minutes while the driver is installed. When the driver is installed, the USB modem appears under Modems in Device Manager.

The USB56KEMH appears as the Conexant USB CX93010 ACF Modem.

To open Device Manager, press the Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
